About Full Life Foundation
Autoimmune conditions are extremely prevalent in today’s world, and yet are rarely ever spoken about in the medical community with the seriousness that it deserves. Millions suffer every year from what are sometimes called ‘invisible diseases’ by those who suffer from it, and yet there is a dearth of diagnosis and awareness of this phenomenon that disproportionately affects women. To battle such the unfortunate deficit of knowledge and support of the challenges in our communities, the Full Life Foundation came into existence. FLF, or the Full Life Foundation, was named with the intention of providing a hope at a fuller life for those who are affected by the autoimmune conditions. The most integral theme of the FLF is provision of peer support-based resources and access, extensively researched and collated for the implementation of long term and sustainable prospects.
The FLF Kits, as we call them, is an extensive knowledge-based kit focused on the design and development of focus and support groups for young people suffering from autoimmune conditions. As a part of this knowledge kit, we are accommodating a ‘Autoimmune Disorders Factsheet’ for easy access and comprehension of collated resources and facts about certain disorders which have very little material to be accessed online. A series of visual fact sheets ensures that we cover most of the commonly occurring autoimmune conditions, right from introductions to symptoms, tangential problems, all the way to commonly used treatment methods.
In the spirit of giving while you are getting, an FLF Support Group for Teenagers Manual is introduced, which enables contribution to the FLF network, further helping facilitate the support system by sharing information, experiences, expertise about the disease itself and ways of coping with it in a wholesome and holistic manner. To reach younger children and educate them about these conditions, FLF also consists of a series of educational children’s books aimed at increasing the awareness of the sensitivities and symptoms of those who suffer.
